What is the UEF Federal Committee?
The UEF FEDERAL COMMITTEE (FC) determines the UEF political direction and activities between the Congresses. It meets twice a year. Its competences comprise organising the Congress, approving the annual budget and final account balances, drawing up the rules of procedure of UEF and electing the UEF Bureau and Treasurer.
The UEF FC consists of 144 members, of whom 50% are elected directly by the UEF Congress and 50% are appointed by the constituent organisations. The members are elected to serve until the following UEF Congress.

UEF FEDERAL COMMITTEE MEETING
21-22 APRIL 2018
Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen
Mauerstrasse 93, 10117 Berlin .
The next UEF Federal Committee meeting will take place in Berlin on 21-22 April 2018.
The Federal Committee will be preceded by a public event in the German Bundestag, in cooperation with The Spinelli Group, on the afternoon of Friday 20 April 2018, with the title: “Re-founding Europe – Towards a federal union: The role and responsibility of Germany”.
The meeting will focus on the ongoing debate on the future of Europe and our role and activities as federalists. It will also lay the grounds for our campaign activities towards the European elections in May 2019. Last but not least, we will prepare our next European Congress, scheduled in Vienna on 23-25 November.
The Federal Committee meeting will be organised reflecting the proposals on "How to make Federal Committees more effective?" discussed at the last meeting in Paris last October, including practical working groups in addition to longer Political Commission meetings and a more structured approach to debate and resolutions.
