The goal of the Political Commission 2 is to develop federalist policy on European economic affairs, particularly as regards the progressive integration of the Eurozone and to develop federalist policy on social Europe and home affairs, with particular focus on EU internal policies.

Key topics include the EU Budget, the Eurozone budget,  EU own resources, Eurozone governance, Fiscal Union, Banking Union, general economic and monetary affairs, the EU Multiannual Financial Framework, social Europe, migration, the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice, political and social rights of EU citizens, rule of Law, the EU fundamental values, European internal security (including border management).
