The last meeting of the UEF took place in Brussels, 13 and 14 June 2014. UEF President Elmar Brok introduced the Federal Committee on the aftermath of the elections. One of the major headlines of the Federal Committee was also the elections of Paolo Vacca as the new Secretary General and Kolja Bienert as the new treasurer. After the presentation of UEF-JEF team’s campaign report by the new SG, the plenary debated around the theme “After the European elections, what next?”
During the second day, discussions in Political Commissions were followed by the adoption of three resolutions: a resolution about "Relaunching Europe’s Foreign Policy and Defence Policy", another one to "support the European Parliament", and a call to political leaders asking them to “don’t betray the voters”.

The XXIV European Congress of the Union of European Federalists was held at the premises of the German Federal Foreign Ministry. The UEF voted on the federalist Manifesto and elected Elmar Brok as President of the UEF.

The UEF FC Meeting gathered its members to discuss the draft Fundamental Law of the European Union with Andrew Duff, President of the UEF and Ulrike Guérot, Head of the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relation. UEF Lithuania and UEF Montenegro officially became member organisations of the UEF Europe.

During the weekend of 2-3 March 2013, UEF organised an international seminar where experienced and new activists and members of the Union of European Federalists and Young European Federalists met to discuss federalism and current European political issues. The seminar was an occasion to discuss and share experiences among activists and members of different generations, different countries and from different political backgrounds. At the UEF Federal Committee held in Warsaw, Poland, a guest speaker Jakub Wisniewski, Director of the Strategy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concentrated on the state of the Union and its foreign policy, but Horitzó Europa was accepted as a new candidate section of the UEF.
