PC 4: HOME AFFAIRS
The aim of the Political Commission on Home Affairs is to deal with the issues linked to the transformation of the European Union in the area of freedom, security and justice, and the implementation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, including the protection of minorities.
The Political Commission will be looking at:
- the protection and strengthening of the EU acquis as regard entry and movement of persons (in particular Schengen), asylum and migration as well as an integrated management of the common borders,
- the fight against all forms of discrimination
- the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data
- police and judicial cooperation matters, in particular issues pertaining to the daily lives of citizens"
