PC 3: FOREIGN AND SECURITY POLICY

The goal of the Political Commission 3 is to develop federalist policy on foreign affairs and security issues, including defence. It monitors the implementation of the provisions of the Lisbon Treaty in the area of Foreign Policy, Security and Defense, it comments developments of the EU’s CFSP and CSDP and discusses what the next steps in these fields should be in view of the creation of a European Federal Union with own security and defence capabilities.
Key topics include EU enlargement, EU neighbourhood policy, external security, European defence, the Permanent Structured Cooperation, the EU Global Strategy, relations with NATO, hybrid threats, the United Nations and international relations.
